How do I install the PERCS Shopify Plugin?

Welcome! You can install the PERCS NFT Gating app on a Shopify store via this link. Once you've installed our app from the Shopify app store, you will need to embed our code snippet in order to get campaigns made in our plug-in to show up on your page.

Adding PERCS snippet to product template

From your admin panel select “Online Store” → “Customize”
Double click on a product category that will be part of a tokengating campaign (typically default product)
Under Product information click on “+ Add block” → Custom liquid
Double click on the Custom liquid now created and paste the following code

Tokengating Products

Background

As part of a tokengating campaign the product or group of products included can either be added individually or as a group. Here's the instructions on how to do both

Audiences - which wallets get past a tokengate

Background

The audience is the allow-list for the tokengating campaign. Typically this will be an erc-721 contract but PERCS also allows an uploaded csv with a list of eth based wallet addresses, or a snapshot from etherscan ,polyscan, or equivalent. When creating a campaign you can either add a new audience or select a previously added audience

|| Erc-1155 contracts can be added but naturally there are issues when trying to limit redemption per token ID. This is why PERCS recommends limiting erc-1155 audiences to a campaign with unlimited redemption per NFT. Alternatively you can use a snapshot or custom wallet list audience This is discussed in more detail in the Erc-721 versus erc-1155 section below

||| A major difference between using a smart contract address and uploading a csv is that PERCS will track which wallet holds the tokens in the smart contract address including after minting or transfers whereas a csv list of wallet addresses is static. This is discussed in more detail in the Smart contract audiences compared to uploaded csv audiences section below

Background

Exclusive discounts for NFT holders is an excellent way to provide utility to and connect with your community. When creating a tokengated discount campaign PERCS will automatically create a discount rule in your Shopify store, while these values can be edited it's important to be mindful of what these changes can impact. The main reason to do so is discussed in the Combining discounts section below and this doc

Create exclusive access to a product with limited redemption per NFT

Background

Exclusive access to a product with limited redemption per NFT can be used to giveaway a product or limit access to it a set number of times per NFT. There are three main parts to creating this campaign

Remove the product from active sales channels
Create the tokengating campaign using the PERCS NFT Gating Plug-in
Create a landing page where users can redeem their NFT(s) for access to the product

Why create this campaign this way?

While this is the most complicated campaign to create using PERCS, there is support available via builders@getpercs.com. After the first campaign, most clients do not need assistance creating the second campaign. The challenge is worth it since it provides security that ensures that only the users on the allow-list can access the utility. This has been used by brands such as Robert Mondavi Winery to give away $3500 bottles of wine to their NFT holders without a fraudulent claim.

Remove the product from all sales channels

Doing these steps will remove the possibility of someone forcing the product into a cart

Customizing icon/button to launch discount modal

Background

You have a discount campaign and you would like to customize the way users access their discount campaigns to match your branding.

Default Setting

The default method to launch the discount modal is when the user clicks on a floating gift icon on the bottom right of the product page.

Branding Options

The default setting can be replaced by any html component the user clicks such as an image or button that can either be floating or embedded. Here are some examples:

Pseudocode

Below is the pseudocode for the customized discount launcher which contains four code blocks

The first block must be included and it checks to see if a discount tag has been added
The second block runs if the product does have an active discount campaign
The third block defines the html object the user would click on to launch the discount modal

This is the part that will be customized to match the store’s branding

The fourth block launches the discount modal when the user clicks on the object defined in the third block
